Inauguration of “My fit Heart” cardiac rehabilitation unit at Platina Heart Hospital, Nagpur Patients after heart attack with compromised cardiac status are always scared to go back to work and resume normal life. The advance heart treatment facilities like angioplasty, bypass surgery help them to recover from heart condition but they are not fit to to resume normal life. Cardiac rehabilitation program is specialized physiotherapy unit with cardiac monitoring and emergency backup system to motivate this patients to resume normal life under supervision of trained cardiac team. Platina heart hospital has taken initiative to start this much needed facility for citizens of Nagpur & central India. “My fit heart” advance cardiac rehabilitation unit was inaugurated by honorable collector of Nagpur Mrs R. Vimla (IAS) at Platina heart hospital in presence of Shri Girishji Gandhi, well known social worker and trustee of VANRAI & Dr Sajal Mitra, Ex-Dean, Government Medical and College and Hospital, Nagpur. Mrs R.Vimla madam appreciated the much needed initiative and said , that this will help the patient to recover from their heart condition quickly. She also stressed on “Prevention is better than cure” and avoid excess of anything, to avoid junk food and focus on healthy diet and healthy lifestyle. SHRI Girishji Gandhi praised the work of Platina Heart hospital and team. Dr sajal Mitra has highlighted the importance of research in healthcare. On this occasion Dr Pramod Mundra, Dr Rashmi Mundra, Dr Devayani Thakre and Dr Siddhi Saraf has given their valuable inputs on importance of healthy life style, diet, activity and role of rehabilitation therapy for recovery from cardiac illness.
